Super Eagles left-back Calvin Bassey was voted Ajax Man of the Match in their historic Eredivisie home win against NEC on Sunday.
Ajax announced Bassey as the most outstanding player on their verified Twitter handle.
Bassey has come under lots of criticisms from former Ajax stars.
But the former Rangers player put in a five-star performance to help Ajax stay in touch with leaders Feyenoord.
Black Stars forward Mohammed Kudus was the hero for Ajax as he netted the only goal of the game in the 52nd minute.
The win against NEC means Ajax are the first-ever side to record 1500 victories in Eredivisie history.
