Fabio Quartararo has suffered a broken hand after crashing during a motocross training session on Sunday. The 2021 MotoGP champion revealed he did not require surgery on damage done to his left hand.
He tweeted: “Yesterday I had a crash during my motocross training and I suffer a little fracture on my left hand. No surgery needed, time to recover.”It is another blow for Quartararo after he was unable to retain his title in the premier class this year. The Frenchman finished second in the standings behind Francesco Bagnaia, who was crowned champion at the season-ending Valencia Grand Prix. Monster Energy Yamaha rider Quartararo was 17 points adrift of the Italian. Testing for the 2023 season gets under way in Sepang on February 5, with the first race coming in Portugal on March 26.
